Art Forum

Ichthus Forest Hill is blessed to have numerous people with artistic talents within the congregation who meet once a month in a group called the Arts Forum. This is a safe space where artists can gather together, share artwork and new ideas that they are working on, pray, build relationship and hopefully spark ideas that will bless others both inside and outside the church.
The Art Forum has three broad aims: To encourage and help those who have no or very little artistic experience and with a desire to learn an artistic skill; to come alongside those who want to explore a new artistic idea or project; to support more experienced or professional artists and encourage them as they serve God in the arts.
We seek to encourage a variety of artistic disciplines amongst us whether they be painting, photography, sculpture, film, poetry, writing, music and sound. At every meeting we make a selection of sketchbooks and drawing materials available to the group to add their own drawings in response to our prayer times, or the subjects being discussed. On our gallery page is a selection of drawings from the sketchbooks, created in recent Art Forum meetings, along with a selection of artworks used in Sunday church meetings or made in prayer meetings.
