At Ichthus Forest Hill, and across all Ichthus congregations, we believe in believer's baptism. Believer's baptism is the Christian practice of baptising individuals who have personally professed faith in Jesus Christ, rather than infants. It symbolizes a conscious, voluntary commitment to follow Jesus, usually performed through full immersion in water to represent dying to an old life and rising to a new one. This practice emphasises the believer's personal decision and obedience in following Jesus' example.

Baptisms at Ichthus Forest Hill are joyful occasions and new members as well as longstanding members are invited to request baptism. Wider family and friends of those being baptised are also invited to attend baptisms.
